Guest Reader Schedule

Having students share stories out loud to an audience is a very powerful experience. After getting over the butterflies in the stomach and all the excitement, students learn some pretty important lessons from this experience. Starting today, students will take turns being our guest reader.

Students can bring in a favourite book from home or read a book that they have practiced reading at school. Pictures of our guest readers will be posted and shared on this blog and the Remind App.

Why is reading out loud so important?

• To strengthen comprehension
• To develop critical reading skills
• To help struggling readers
• To facilitate collaborative learning
• To share newly crafted abilities with others
