CELEBRATE!

It's time to celebrate amazing kids! We set some pretty impressive goals in April and not only did we achieve them, we EXCEEDED them! ALL of the students have achieved at least 60% fluency in their math facts (with quite a few who have already reached 100% fluency). Together, they have read 161 books! Thank you to everyone who participated in the Tower of Books Challenge.

Today we celebrated our learning achievements by watching the movie
"Inside Out" and did many activities that focused on emotions along with strategies to move through the Zones of Regulation.

Art Projects

Well, if you haven't heard about our art project lately....you'll see them coming through the door tonight!

Happy Earth Day

Happy Earth Day! This is a video we watched today in class. The kids asked if I could share it with you because they wanted to make some of the projects at home. Enjoy your weekend and remember to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!

Advice from Kids

Too good not to share....

Bullies

Pink Day might be over, but the topic of bullying and the importance of being a kind and caring person is something we discuss daily. Don't forget to make someone smile today!

Pink Shirt Day April 11

Next week is Pink Shirt day at Taylor School.

Collage Animals

I might have bitten off more than I can chew with this next art project, but we are going to give it a try! We've started with stage 1 - scribbles and lines, our next step is to add the paint.

This is going to take some time...I'm pretty excited to see what our final project looks like.
